I'm excited to introduce something new. Each month I'll be shining a light on a different business in our oily community. We are fortunate to have some amazingly talented businesses within our Star Anise Essentials community, from naturopaths, beauty therapists, massage therapists, acupuncture, healers, kinesiologists, building biologists, child care centres, low-tox hairdressers, sound healers, and lots more.

Jo Lia is a building biologist, a certified EMR consultant, and an IICRC trained water damage restoration technician specialising in creating healthy homes where families can thrive. With over a decade of experience in the field, Jo has assessed hundreds of homes, workplaces, and schools. Much of her work is focused on remedying mould and EMF exposures but her true passion lies in prevention. She loves nothing more than arming people with the tools and knowledge to create their own healthy homes by understanding what the environmental challenges are and changing the things they can control.

Jo has appeared in several health publications, on wellness podcasts, and on Channel Ten’s ‘Healthy Homes’ program. Jo services the Sydney metro area and can do online consults for rural clients.
