When will you start living the life of your dreams?

Once upon time there was a girl who worked crazy long hours as a corporate lawyer in a concrete building with artificial lighting doing work that didn’t light her up. She fell into it as she had no idea what she wanted to do in her life. After 10 years, she burnt out and the universe forced her to choose a different path. She decided to take matters into her own hands and rewrite her life, from ground up....from the food she ate, to what she drank, to the products she cleaned her house with, to how she moved, to how she slept, to the personal care products she put on her skin, to the people she surrounded herself with, and to the environments she spent her time in. She came out a more shiny, vibrant and robust version of herself and wanted to share her journey, her learnings and her passion with others to help them onto a healthier path. Her passion fuelled the creation of her businesses, which grew organically and authentically. And she decided to make it her mission to create a community and to help other women - not just physically and emotionally- but also financially.... so that they can be the best possible versions of themselves and in turn be of greater service to others. 

As a mum (and even more so as a single mum) she knows how important it is to feel positive and empowered - in every sense of the word. She wants to feel fulfilled and inspired by her work and wants to make an impact that brings abundance that blesses her family and others. That girl was me.

Want to know the easiest way to become a climate change activist?

Did you know that our greatest exposure to environmental toxins is in our home!?! They are lurking in the personal care products that we slather onto our body and the cleaning products we spray onto all surfaces and inhale. They are found in the harsh detergents we wash our clothes with, and the sunscreen we cover our bodies with. Just because they are allowed to be sold on a supermarket or pharmacy shelf doesn’t make them safe. The good news is that once we know we can’t unknow and our conscience inspires us to become more conscious consumers. That’s when can take steps to swap them out as we always have a CHOICE as to what to buy. 

The easiest and most profound way of being climate change and health activists is by starting IN YOUR OWN HOME at the micro level and voting with your dollar by backing companies who put your health and the planet’s health first before profits. As my dad always says “clean up your own backyard before you go pointing the finger at others”. 

Join me at one of my February HEALTHY HOMES / HEALTHY SWAPS /ESSENTIAL OILS workshops where the focus is on giving you practical tools to reduce our exposure to environmental toxins:

• Tuesday 7pm Feb 18th at Milson’s Point at the clinic of Dr Bryce Fleming; or
• Tuesday 7pm 25th Feb in Waverley.

The purpose of these talks is to:

1. EDUCATE you on the slew of harmful hormone-disrupting and potentially carcinogenic chemicals found in conventional personal care products and household cleaning products (including make up and sunscreen) and what they do to your body and to the planet where they inevitably end up;

EMPOWER you with all the tools, resources and personalised support that my team provides to make small changes consistently in a positive way without the overwhelm to become your family’s healer, to become more independent in your health care and to ditch the chemicals in your home by replacing them one by one with all natural, non toxic products that are super powerful and cost effective. 

Seeing healthy swaps a redirection of resources means that YOU HAVE THE CHOICE AS TO THE PRODUCTS TO BUY to create a beautiful toxic free sanctuary for your family. Indeed your home is the ONLY environment you can control!

If you need to exercise to lose weight, then something is wrong with your diet

Our ancient DNA requires us to move and the benefits of doing so are indisputable especially in regards to cardiovascular health, mental health, osteo skeletal health, strength, stamina, muscle tone and increasing longevity. These are the primary reasons to move and to move daily in a way that our ancient DNA requires (walking, swimming, stretching, and functional movement like strength and interval training).

But if your primary motivation to exercise is to shed excess weight, then something is wrong with your diet. There’s no point flogging yourself in exercise if you’re eating a SAD (Standard Australia / American Diet) which is high in processed foods especially refined carbs. You cannot out train a bad diet!!

If you’re keen to drop excess fat, start with getting the diet right:

Eat what we are biologically designed to eat which is an omnivorous diet rich in nutrient-dense whole (unprocessed) foods where the focus is on the quality of the ingredients- namely their source and their processing.
